UTHS Principal Mr. Matt Wright and UT dean Mr. Abel Zertuche were duct-taped to a column in the cafeteria foyer this morning to raise money and cans for the Student Hunger Drive. Students who wanted to apply a strip of tape could either donate one dollar or two cans of food for the privilege of adhering the two administrators a foot and one-half above the ground as the gathered crowd watched.

UTHS Principal Mr. Matt Wright and UT dean Mr. Abel Zertuche were duct-taped to a column in the cafeteria foyer this morning to raise money and cans of food for the Student Hunger Drive.

Students who wanted to apply a strip of tape could either donate one dollar or two cans of food for the privilege of adhering the two administrators a foot and one-half above the ground as the gathered crowd watched.

After the chairs supporting their weight were removed, the two men stayed suspended for about twenty seconds before gently sliding down to the ground.

The inaugural event only raised $40 and a few cans, but Mrs. Demory, student council co-adviser, said, “It was totally worth it!”
