Freshman Reese Williams was honored with a “walk-through” as this past weekend she became the first girls’ tennis player from UTHS to compete in the state tennis meet in singles competition in fifteen years.  Unfortunately, Reese was defeated 6-2, 6-0 by Meera Baid from Metea Valley in the first round, and 7-5, 6-2 by Katie Kearney from Plainfield (Central) in the consolation round.  As a freshman, Reese will have several more chances to improve that record in future state meets.
