Aloha, Homecoming 2018!

Homecoming Week 2018 starts this coming Monday, October 1. There are activities all week long during lunch hours and in the evenings, wrapping up with the homecoming dance on Saturday night.

The “Aloha”-themed homecoming week starts Monday, October 1, 2018, and the schedule is packed with dress days, lunch activities, and evening events.  Activities for the week include:

MONDAY, OCTOBER 1: To kick off homecoming this year, the first themed dressing day will be “Maui Monday” or “Hawaiian Dress Day.” During lunch, there will be a Limbo Competition that all students are invited to participate. Later that night, a Staff and Student Volleyball tournament will commence at 6:30 pm and end at approximately 9:00 pm. If you wish to participate, there is a required entry fee of $20 per team. Admission is $2 or 3 food cans.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2: The theme is “Tropical Twin Tuesday.” Be sure to grab your friends and match! Coconut Bowling will be offered throughout all lunch periods. At 7:00-9:00 pm all are free to join us at the UT Bus Barn to watch “Lilo and Stitch” for our annual movie night. The entry fee is three cans of food.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3: The homecoming dress day for Wednesday is “Class T-Shirt Day.” Don’t forget to grab your class shirt and wear your class colors! The lunch activity of the day is a Watermelon Eating Contest. Join us at the Panther Pitch (located at the UTHS soccer field) at 7:00 to watch the girls vs. each other at Powder Puff Football. Guys, be sure to show up and cheer them on! The cost is $2 or 3 cans.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 4: Time to find your Hawaiian travel gear for “Tourist Day.” At lunch, you have the opportunity of paying $1 to have three attempts of knocking down teachers at our Dunk Tank. At 7:00 that night, meet us once again at the Panther Pitch for our Fun Night. It costs only $3 to join in on all the bounce houses, inflatables, music, and more!

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5: UT students, it is time to get all your Panther gear ready because this day’s theme is “Spirit Day.” Be sure to show off your Panther pride in all UT colors. Don’t forget, 11:15 we have our Homecoming Assembly, and at 2:00 we have our Homecoming Parade in downtown East Moline! Be sure to join us at our Varsity Homecoming Football Game starting at 7:00 pm. You don’t want to miss it!

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6: From 7:00 to 10:00 pm, located in the UT Cafeteria, we will have our Homecoming Dance! Ticket prices are as follows: $10.00 Single and $20.00 couples.
