Madrigal transforms cafeteria into Renaissance feast

The UTHS choir program, under the direction of Mrs. Juliet Minard, transformed the UTHS cafeteria into the site of a Renaissance feast on Tuesday night, complete with madrigals (a capella music pieces from the 16th and 17th century), wassail, tapestries, royalty, and jesters. The semi-annual dinner went as close to plan as possible, impacted by the break of a water main that left most of the building without water. Long walks to the swimming pool were necessary to fill water pitchers as well as use the restrooms. Even with the inconvenience, the patrons enjoyed the evening with far better accommodations than Renaissance England would have provided.
