Student athletes sign on the dotted line

Eleven UTHS athletes took part in a signing ceremony on Wednesday afternoon in the auditorium as part of the national signing day for letters of intent.  While the national day is the official date for Division I and II schools in basketball and several other sports, UTHS recognized high school athletes moving on to play on all levels of collegiate sports.

With press, friends, and relatives looking on, the student athletes took the stage along with their parents to declare their intent to continue their athletic careers at their respective colleges.

The students signing letters were:

  • Brandon Moreno – St. Ambrose University, soccer
  • Delainey Davila – St. Ambrose University, soccer
  • Emily DeVilder – Clarke College, soccer
  • Hannah Mirimanian – Loras College, soccer
  • Cassandra Nevarez – Heartland CC, soccer
  • Kristine Thompson – Scott Community College, soccer
  • Ryleigh O’Brien – Loras College, soccer and basketball
  • Sky Stoutt – Augustana College, bowling
  • Kaleb Goodlow – Elmhurst College, football
  • Ethan Pearson – Rockford University, football
  • London Jackson – Kirkwood CC, softball
  • Azlynn Sherrod-Butler – McKendree University, track
  • Sarah Jones – Black Hawk CC, volleyball
