The recognition tea for the John Deere Harvester Award was held Tuesday, March 27. The third quarter recipients of this award are Ariel Beverly, Samantha Copeland, Ryan Dembosky, Felipe Hernandez, Hannah Luthy, Stephanie Milefchik, Molly Rowell, Shannon Strickland, Jocelin Wilson, and Daniel Yenor. The staff member who received the award is Mrs. Heather Monson.
The John Deere Harvester Award is given to teachers with outstanding skills as educators. Students, nominated by teachers, earn the award by excelling in school and other extracurricular activities.
At the tea, the recipients of the award gather with their family, friends, and educators. They are asked to give small speeches when they receive their awards; most students thank their parents and teachers for helping them succeed. The students who receive the award are very thankful. Molly Rowell said, “The tea was really fun, and thank you to John Deere Harvester for doing this!”
Felipe Hernandez did point out one thing that was missing, however: “There was no tea.”
